  I contacted Bridge City Law through a referral and used legal insurance. This was my first experience with them and using legal insurance. I wished to acquire there services to have a legal name change done (surname only). This is pretty common. Women who get married do this all the time. Once this was complete I was going to ask the office for some other minor services, such as a will and a living will. I called them via phone and after several days one of their attorneys - Jeremy Swanlund - contacted me via my personal email. I am lucky that I found his email in my spam folder. Over the course of three weeks he sent me a total of three emails with less than a paragraph of information in each. The first one was simply to ask me what I wanted - something I made very clear when I called. The reason I wanted an attorney to do the name change was because I wanted it done right and quickly. In the end Jeremy contacted me saying that a name change is "quite extensive" and that it would involve "court filings and appearances that I don't have the capacity to do...". If this office or it's lawyers think a name change is a complex matter, then I suggest a new line of profession since this is something I could easily accomplish myself. I suppose that is what I will do now.
